The Villa Tamara in Turkey is an exceptional property on the Kas Peninsula offering something that little bit different, which
nowadays is hard to find. The driveway down to the entrance from the peninsula road is steep and leaves you unsure
of what to expect.
A spiral stone staircase leads to the accommodation and facilities as the
Villa Hotel Tamara unfolds to reveal its elegance and beauty. The design is really
quite simple but it has been done properly with style and quality and has to
be admired. It was quite breathtaking as we first entered the property; we
had never seen anything quite like it. The Villa Hotel Tamara in Kas is one of a kind and
incomparable with anything else. We give this property a 4 ‘jewel’ status
not for its technical facilities but for the ambience, peace and luxurious
views which it commands. We were lost for words as we sat on the large
deck watching the yachts and gulets cruising along the coastline, sailing
towards the offshore Greek and Turkish islands dotted throughout the
Mediterranean. You could easily sit here all day admiring the view and
tranquility. A shuttle service is provided a couple of times a day from the Villa Tamara for guests
wanting to venture into Kas itself, approximately 10 minutes drive away.
There are two good-sized swimming pools overlooking the sea with
sunbeds and umbrellas, as well as sea platforms below with the same
facilities.
There is a bar, a large terrace with wooden tables and chairs
under canopies, also serving as an outdoor restaurant, plus traditional
seating areas in the shade. Accommodation at the Villa Tamara is in a stone-clad building with
names such as Likya, Myra, Xanthos and Patara, after local sites and areas
of interest.
The twin rooms, (beds can be placed together as a double),
have air-conditioning included, mini-bar, coffee table and chairs, en-suite
shower & WC, a safety deposit box, and a balcony with sea view. Suites have a
separate living room and a very spacious bathroom with bathtub.
All are
offered on Bed & Turkish Breakfast basis.
