The Select Maris Resort truly deserves its status as a ‘Jewel of Distinction’. We have not seen any other hotel that comes close as far as location is concerned. Majestically perched on top of a 45m cliff overlooking the stunning bay and its 6 private beaches, right in the middle of a nature conservation area on the Datca Peninsula, this is one of the
most breathtaking locations.
The air of distinction doesn’t stop just with location, there is a continued
theme throughout the resort with a high value on style and service and a
great respect for the environment. The large free-form swimming pool and
spacious sundeck have the same stunning views out over the bay and for
those preferring to enjoy the 6 beaches (family, children, quiet, palm,
natural and activity), there are glass lifts to take you down the cliff side.
From here you can also take the boat shuttle service to the quiet and
secluded beach or the activities beach for water sports enthusiasts, on the
opposite side of the bay. The choice of water sports is excellent with surfing
and sailing (rental charge and only for those who have recognised surfing
or catamaran certificate or equivalent proof of qualifications, with practical
experience), skiing, diving, canoeing and snorkelling. The Select Maris Resort has a choice of sports
and leisure facilities available for those who like to stay active,
including 7 tennis courts, 2 of which have floodlights, table tennis and
volleyball. The air-conditioned Mars Athletic Club has a well-equipped
gym, aerobic studio and cycling studio. Children are also catered for with a
Children’s club for 4-12 year olds with a separate children’s pool.
Pampering and relaxation is also on the agenda at the Nu Spa, a
wonderful, tranquil oasis offering hydrotherapy, Algotherm treatments, a
range of massage treatments, with massage rooms available for couples,
and a relaxing indoor pool.
Dining is a delight at any of the restaurants at the Select Maris Hotel.
The main restaurant ‘La Scala’ offers breakfast, lunch and dinner with two
additional terraces. The beach restaurant ‘Oasis’ offers lunch and dinner
in a fabulous beach side setting. The ‘BBQ’ a la carte restaurant at the
Activity beach offers a variety of different regional dishes, whilst the a la
carte restaurant ‘Asitane’ offers a choice of Asian and Italian cuisine. The
‘Sun Set Restaurant’ offers romantic dining exclusively for couples, under
the stars, overlooking the sea, and also hosts the weekly ‘White Evening’
where live classical music is performed. Other facilities include a minimarket,
souvenir shop and a hairdressing salon.
All the rooms at the Select Maris Resort are air-conditioned
and have satellite TV, safety deposit box, mini-bar, internet
access, en-suite bathroom with either bath or shower. Comfort land view
rooms have twin beds and balcony. Couples sea view rooms have a
double bed and French balcony. Comfort sea view rooms have twin beds
and balcony. Deluxe rooms are larger and have twin beds and a balcony
with land view. Suites all have a separate living room and balcony with
either land or sea view and can accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults
and 2 children.
