Jenny's House in Turkey is a special place is run by Jenny and her
brother-in-law Salih, and is in a fantastic
location on the main street of Selimiye Village
and only a stones throw away from the beach.
There are a couple of mini-markets and several
beach restaurants dotted around the village, all
within a few minutes walk from the
accommodation. There is even a small café,
where the men of the village meet and spend
their days drinking tea and playing
backgammon in traditional Turkish style. Salih
worked as a Resort Representative for Jewel in
the Crown Holidays for 5 years, before deciding
to go back to his family business and to look
after his old mother.
Jenny’s House in Selimiye has only 10 rooms in 2 blocks,
and has lush green gardens with a small
swimming pool and a few sunbeds and
umbrellas to relax all day enjoying the homely
atmosphere created by Jenny and Salih. There is
a small kitchen where basic food and drinks are
provided throughout the day. The pool area is
especially popular during mid afternoon when
Jenny serves one of her famous cakes with tea
(included in the price of the holiday)!
The rooms are comfortable with double or twin
beds, air-conditioning, en-suite shower & WC, and
some rooms can accommodate a third adult.
Accommodation is offered on Bed & Breakfast
basis, with afternoon tea and cake. Breakfast is
a typical village breakfast, including local
yoghurt and honey, home made bread and
many other items that you would not see in most
Turkish hotels or restaurants!
Jenny's House is a very friendly, unique place and comes
highly recommended.
