Alila Diwa Goa, Majorda, Goa

The Alila Diwa Goa is a superb new hotel which was completed in December 2009 and is situated on the outskirts of Majorda with great views over the paddy fields. The nearest beach is Betalbatim, a 20 minute walk through the village or take advantage of the hotel’s free taxi service. Once there, several beach shacks will be happy to provide drinks, snacks and sunbeds and after a long, hard day at the beach there are hotel staff ready to arrange your taxi back to the hotel.

The hotel is built to a high standard in a Balinese style with fountains and covered walkways from reception to the restaurants and bedrooms. There is a large infinity pool at the Alia Diwa Hotel which is the perfect place to relax and soak up the Goan sunshine and there is also a Jacuzzi opposite the paddy fields. The hotel has several eating experiences; The Vivo is an international restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, seating is available inside or tables are also arranged outside with views of the swimming pool and fountains. The Spice Studio is situated on an elevated platform that spreads naturally around a Banyan tree and offers a menu of essentially south-western coastal cuisine. The Edge Bar is located poolside and offers fusion cocktails and mouth-watering delicacies. There is a spa for those who like to be pampered, with five single and five double treatment rooms, all with individual steam and shower units and an outdoor patio with day bed, choose from a Balinese or Swedish massage. Children are well catered for with a children’s club which is open from 9am to 9pm with children facilities for 3-5 year olds and for children 6-12 years old there is a games room. If you need a bit of peace and quiet the hotel has a reading room with library.

The bedrooms at the Alila are extremely comfortable. All are supplied with luxury linens and have air-conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities, mini-bar, safety deposit box, large LCD TV, WIFI and en-suite bathroom with bath, shower and WC. Terrace rooms are on the ground floor and open onto a private terrace. Large family rooms are also available and are located within easy reach of the children’s facilities. Loft rooms have a vaulted wooden ceiling and a large private balcony.

Diwa Wing

This new addition to the Alila was completed in January 2011 and is situated its grounds. The Diwa Wing consists of 35 luxurious rooms all with pool view and is backed by trees which gives the wing a private feel. The hotel has its own bistro which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and has views of the pool.

The large bedrooms have a double bed, WIFI, mini-bar, tea & coffee making facilities and a large 42” flat screen TV. The bathroom has a large bath, separate walk-in shower and WC. The balconies or terraces all have a pool view and are furnished with a double settee.

The Diwa wing is more private than the main hotel and is ideal for that special occasion. All of the Alila’s facilities are also available to the Diwa clients.Extremely comfortable bedrooms, highly recommended.
