Owned and run by the De Souza family, who have a wealth of experience in the Goan travel industry, The Aldeia Santa Rita has been a firm favourite with British holidaymakers for the past 20 years. The hotel is built in the Portuguese style with colourfully painted bedroom blocks situated on either side of a central path which meanders past the swimming pool and the restaurant towards the back of the hotel providing direct access to Candolim. If a day by the sea is more to your liking then just make your way through the sand dunes onto the stunning beach, 200m away, where a wide choice of beach shacks is available, the most popular being Calamari. The Aldeia Santa Rota benefits from a swimming pool with a furnished sun terrace, pool bar, an all-inclusive restaurant and bar, Cravo Do India, with both an indoor and outdoor seating area. The Creparia restaurant offers sweet and savoury snacks throughout the day but this is not included in the All-Inclusive package. Money exchange facilities and safety deposit boxes (clients need to provide their own locks) are available at reception. Other facilities include an on-site tailor’s, jeweller’s and a beauty parlour offering a wide range of services including Ayurvedic treatments. The standard rooms are tastefully-furnished and all have air-conditioning, fridge, TV, tea & coffee making facilities, a divan sofa that can sleep a 3rd person, en-suite SH&WC and a balcony or terrace. Accommodation is offered on an All-Inclusive basis with Christmas and New Year festive meals also included.
